Research
The comparative invertebrate embryology studies from the Russian biologist Élie Metchnikoff and his evolutionary approach to the origin of multicellularity, ontogeny of cellular processes, and organism individuality triggered my interest in evolutionary developmental biology. My work focuses in understanding the origin of morphological traits of larvae and adults of marine invertebrates by studying their embryonic development.
